Nearly every booking site forces hosts to inflate their prices just to cover platform fees. The result? Guests end up paying more without realizing it, expecially when rates aren't updated automatically for months at a time when they could be lower.
Crewdogs is different. We’re on a mission to kill the markup and make sure the military community always get the real discount that hosts offer: no hidden fees, no inflated rates, just fair pricing year-round.
Nightly prices on Crewdogs are discounted by at least 15% from Airbnb and can be up to 25–30% lower depending on the host. Prices are even lower than direct booking websites—every day of the year, not just on Veterans Day.
For official government travel or long-term rent collection, Crewdogs reduces pricing even further, helping the military community secure longer stays while keeping payment safe and secure on-platform.
Our mission is simple: deliver the lowest cost to the military community on behalf of our patriot and military hosts. That means lower hosting fees, no inflated rates, and no hidden charges.
Hosts pay an industry-low fee after each booking. This keeps costs down and lets hosts pass on genuine military discounts to their guests.
The 2% fee is calculated from the booking subtotal (nightly price plus any host-added fees, excluding the guest service fee and taxes).
There are zero charges until your first booking… we don’t believe in listing fees!
Crewdogs includes 5–8% per booking on short- and mid-term stays. This powers our property protection plan, ID.me verification, payment processing, military spouse led customer service team, marketing efforts, and our Veteran giveback campaign. The rate is low enough to prevent host markups before listing and keep guests from sticker shock at checkout.
Crewdogs provides industry-low pricing for government travel stays with hosts charged 2% per booking plus payment processing.
Long-term stays over 180 days only incur a payment processing fee during each charge. Crewdogs does not profit from these rentals—hosts simply cover the cost of the transaction, with no finder’s fee.
Everything is automated, including itemized receipts for government travel. Long-term stays are defined as more than six months.
Crewdogs uses installment payments for standard short-, mid-, and long-term bookings.
• If booking occurs more than 7 days before arrival: 50% of the first 30 days’ rent is charged at booking.
• Within 7 days of arrival: the full remaining amount is charged.
