Why are we here?
We need change.
The military community is fragmented online, Veterans, in-service members, family… all unable to find each other, and constantly spammed. Airbnb owners wish they could find trustworthy, military guests. Space-A for flying exists, but why don’t we have it for short-term stays using the places we own? There’s no vetted military roommate service, plus on-base and off-base housing is harder to find than ever. We need better options and crew dogs® is the solution. No matter what kind of travel you’re on, crew dogs® will let us exclusively rent from or stay with the military community.
Who are we?
My name is Adam, and I'm an Air Force member stationed at Charleston AFB. Infuriated by our struggles, a group of developers and military veterans joined together to create change. With the feedback of our experiences, friends, family, and anybody else we could find, Crewdogs® was born. The military is a special group, and our military affiliation should be a strength when it comes to travel—not a crutch. Crewdogs® is the platform that will unite and embolden us.
What is it?
We started with security. Utilizing two verification methods, we ensure the platform is free of spam or BS. Nobody outside of our military community is allowed in. Other security features include but aren’t limited to token-based authentication, data encryption, strict data access management protocols, and secure American based AWS servers for data storage.
Everyone can be a crashpad owner; anyone can be a host. Instantly make your place available, whatever that looks like. List it for free or set monthly, weekly, or nightly rates. We can now search for each other around every city or base in the world. Use the map to filter pricing, property types, gender, or other important home features. Filters and an app interface lets you search places, message the owner or host, and get it booked.
An in-app messaging platform lets us connect one on one. You can provide additional info, and pictures, or just chat about the area. You never have to disclose any personal information until you’re sure it’s time to move forward.

So, while the crew dogs® app is not an official product of the DOD, it was created and is run by military members like you who believe that if we just rent from or stay with each other, housing will never be an issue again.
