Return for a soak in the hot tub with a view. Warm up by the gas log fireplace. Prepare a meal in the gourmet kitchen. There's even a workspace with Starlink if you need it. This escape is ideal for families, friend groups, and remote workers. You may also access the outdoor amenities of the Gateway Mountain community which include fishing/swimming/paddling lakes, hiking/biking trails, and waterfalls on nearly 3000 acres. Gateway Mountain is a private, gated mountain community offering a peaceful, secluded setting while still being close to local attractions like Old Fort, Lake Lure, Bat Cave and Chimney Rock. Black Mountain, Asheville, and the vast Pisgah National Forest are all just a scenic drive away! Downtown Old Fort - 20 minutes Old Fort Gateway Trailhead - 27 minutes Downtown Black Mountain - 30 minutes Chimney Rock / Lake Lure - 40 minutes Downtown Asheville – 45 minutes Other items to note: Mobile and GPS service is limited – please download directions before travel. Rideshare and delivery services are limited due to restricted access. Exterior cameras monitor the driveway and backyard for security (none face the porch or deck). Pets allowed with a fee.

We ask that you treat the property with respect. This is a private residence. Please act as though you are a guest in someone’s home. :) Also, please acknowledge the following: NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. If this rule is not followed, you will be immediately removed from the property without refunds or compensation. QUIET HOURS 10:00 PM - 9:00 AM. If any noise complaints are reported, you can expect a warning communication. If a second noise violation/complaint occurs, your reservation may be terminated. MINIMUM BOOKING AGE IS 25. If you are under 25, do not make a reservation without contacting us for pre-approval. Failure to do so may result in termination of your reservation. LOCAL RESIDENTS REQUIRE APPROVAL. If you live within 30 miles of the property, you must contact us for pre-approval. Otherwise, we reserve the right to terminate reservations made by local residents. GUEST TOTAL MUST MATCH BOOKING. The correct number of guests must be on the reservation - This includes all guests entering the property at any point during the stay. NO SMOKING OR DRUG USE. If smoking or drug use is detected inside the property after your check-out, we will request additional money for cleaning and/or file a claim against you for damages. PETS ALLOWED. We welcome well-behaved pets. Please clean up after your pet outside and inside. If you must allow your pets on furniture, please cover the furniture with YOUR OWN blanket or towel. The pet fee does NOT include animal waste cleanup or stains on bedding, towels, or upholstery. GUESTS ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY. By placing a reservation, you agree that all guests expressly assume the risk of harm or adverse events that may arise during the use of this property. Guests understand that they may purchase travel insurance to protect themselves in such situations. This insurance is not automatically provided or implied with your reservation. The property owners or managers are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur. CHECK OUT ON TIME. Our cleaners are on a tight schedule and need to work in preparation for our next guests. If you require an earlier check-in or a later check-out, please request it in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge a $50 late check-out fee. Any guest who is still on the property after 2:00 pm on check-out day will be automatically charged for an extra night. Please help us understand your intent to follow these House Rules by stating, "I've read the House Rules" when making a booking inquiry or completing your reservation.
