My desire to support the military community stems from my profound appreciation for the sacrifices and service of my late husband, who dedicated 32 years to the Army National Guard—20 of which were spent on active duty. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and bravely fought a 13-year battle with cancer, ultimately succumbing to the illness two years after his retirement. Throughout his struggle, the military community was an unwavering source of support for both him and our family. The sense of camaraderie and compassion that enveloped us during this challenging time solidified my commitment to giving back. The show of support at his funeral—an outpouring of love from fellow servicemen, friends, and family—left a deep impression on my heart. It highlighted the unique bond shared among those who serve and the families who stand by them. Now, as a surviving spouse, I continue to benefit from the military system that provided stability during my husband’s illness and after his passing. This ongoing support kindled a desire within me to pay it forward. I am proud to affiliate myself with organizations like Crewdogs, which focus on assisting veterans and their families. Their mission resonates deeply with me as they work to create a supportive network for those who have worn the uniform. By supporting the military community, I aim to honor my husband’s legacy and emphasize the value of solidarity among service members and their families. I am committed to advocating for veterans' needs, raising awareness about their challenges, and contributing to organizations that provide essential resources. I believe that together, we can create an environment where all veterans feel valued, understood, and supported. My journey as a surviving spouse has instilled in me a profound sense of responsibility to give back.

Living Room (common gathering area) Open floor plan with hardwood floors, comfy sectional couch, two end tables with books for you to read at your leisure, TV console cabinet with storage space you will find games, extra chargers for iPhone & androids, and rainy days umbrellas if you forgot to pack your own. There is a smart Roku TV hung above the TV console. Kitchen- A cute but functional kitchen with a small island with four bar chairs, two on each side of the bar perfect for eating breakfast, playing euchre, or using as a workstation. The Kitchen is equipped with: * an induction 2 burner stove *dishwasher *wine glasses *air fryer *refrigerator *pots & pans *microwave *complete dish sets *baking sheets *toaster *eating utensils *cooking utensils *blender *drinking glasses *outdoor BBQ utensils *Pet feeding and watering station (be sure to tell us your furry friend is coming so we can leave them a complimentary treat bag and stuffed toy!) Complimentary coffee bar stocked with regular coffee, k-cups, sugar, creamer, and tea for non-coffee drinkers. Welcome basket with salty snacks, sweet snacks, and water. First aid kit on top of the refrigerator. The laundry room has its entrance outside off of the back deck. Complimentary detergent pods and fabric sheets are provided. Beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, beach towels, and sunscreen are located in the laundry room. Beach towels are in each bedroom. Outdoor entertaining area- The backyard is a complete entertaining space featuring a small outdoor dining table that seats 6, a BBQ grill, a wood fire pit surrounded by seating for 6, and a hammock. Master Bedroom, The master bedroom features a king-size bed, remote-controlled ceiling fan, smart Roku TV, full-size dresser, and closet. Inside the closet, you'll find hangers, beach towels, and an extra blanket. Bedroom #2, The room has a queen size bed, mirror, remote-controlled ceiling fan and In the closet, you'll find hangers, an extra blanket, and beach towels. Bedroom #3, The room has a full-size bed, mirror, closet stocked with hangers and an extra blanket, iron board, iron, full-length mirror, and a remote-controlled ceiling fan. Bathroom - The bathroom offers a shower and a vanity with a well-lit mirror. Forgot a few toiletries? No worries. We provide travel-sized toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Ladies, we provide black makeup washcloths to remove makeup at night. They are located in the bathroom hanging on a rack for your convenience. Entire home I will not be available on-site but will be available via Airbnb messenger. The lock code will be given to you 48 hours before arrival, but it will not be active until 4:00 pm when you can access the property. Registration# VR24-00311
