There’s a queen bed tucked into the main space, a twin foldout couch, a full kitchen for easy meals, and a bathroom with a shower. A private porch looks out over open hills and changing skies... perfect for slow mornings or sunset unwinding. Inside or out, the Trapper is a quiet place to recharge between adventures. Bring the toys, boat, sleds, or even horses. Whether you're sipping coffee on the porch or unwinding after a day on the trails, this little cabin offers simple comforts and space to slow down. Guests have full access to the Trapper Cabin. You’ll be staying in one of three unique cabins, alongside the Boondocker Cabin (sleeps 10), The Ranch House (sleeps 7) and the Valleyview Cabin (coming soon!). Each space has its own vibe, but all share the same wide-open skies, peaceful setting, and access to the Hitchin’ Post, our shared guest clubhouse with a hot tub, pool table, darts, a fireplace and more. Trails, lakes and snowmobile access are just minutes away and Steamboat Springs is a scenic 30-minute drive over the pass. Rabbit Ears Basecamp is tucked just off US-40 at the base of Rabbit Ears Pass. You'll want a car to explore the area, especially if you're heading into Steamboat Springs, hitting the trails, or hauling gear for fishing or riding. In winter, we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles to handle snowy conditions. The roads to the cabins are plowed, but mountain weather can shift quickly. Parking is available right by your place for easy unloading. 🐾 Pet-friendly. Just let us know if you’re bringing your furry friend along! ❄️ AWD or 4WD is recommended in winter 🚗 30 minutes to Steamboat Springs 🛷 5 minutes to trails, lakes and snowmobiling access 📶 Wi-Fi is strong, but cell service may be limited.
