The Runaway Pineapple Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor living. It is eco-friendly, run with solar power and a rainwater filled cistern. With a large deck overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Ocean you will have a great view of one of the healthiest reefs in the world. Our grounds are filled with plants, flowers, and fruit trees. On a hill 1/2 mile from West End Village it is peaceful and quiet with a short walk to all activities. The Blue Tang, located on the lower level of the Runaway Pineapple lodge, features two twin beds (can become a king) a dinning table, and simple bathroom. Guests will have access to shared outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower also located on the lower deck. The Lodge is eco-friendly, powered by solar and collected rainwater that is gravity fed at natural temperatures. Long term and snowbird rentals available in this room. Enjoy world class diving and island life with a stay at our jungle retreat. The upstairs guests have access to the upstairs deck and cupula. The downstairs guests have access to the downstairs deck. All our guests have access to the Lodge grounds and outdoor shower downstairs. The lodge offers some snorkel equipment, folding chairs, games, books and most needed kitchen items. Please replace all items as you found them for our next guests to enjoy. Please enjoy bananas and mangos if they are ripe while you are there. At this time we are unable to be at the lodge with our guests, the helpful people at our property management company are available to help you with any needs you may have. Our lodge is secluded with few neighbors, with a quick 1/2 mile walk down to all the activities of West End. Half Moon bay in West End is one of the nicest and most accessible beaches on the island, offering a small-town resort vibe. In West End you will find everything you need, groceries, tours, dive shops, restaurants, bars, shopping and much more. At the end of your day retreat the quiet beauty of the lodge or enjoy West End nightlife. We can arrange airport transport to the Lodge. Once at the lodge there is little use for a car. The lodge is just a short 1/2 mile walk to all West End has to offer. There is a gas station convenient store, vegetable stand, and several eating and shopping options between the lodge and West End for an even shorter walk. Between the Water Taxis in West End and the car taxis that can pick you up at the bottom of the hill, there is little need for a rental car. If you do choose to get a rental car, a 4 wheel drive is required to make it up the hill to our parking lot. The lodge currently requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle to access easily. Walking up hill and upstairs allows guests to enjoy the amazing view but may be difficult for those with limited mobility. Some railings and walkways are open and may not be suitable for small children. We are an eco-friendly lodge and do not offer air conditioning. Our water is gravity fed at natural temperatures. Our lodge offers a unique experience in a quiet but very convenient location. We hope you will enjoy what we have to offer. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am, please respect any other guests staying at the lodge. We have lots of wildlife who make the lodge their home too, please enjoy the birds and lizards with eyes and cameras only.
